Genoa Church
Design and Ministry Needs
In 2018, Genoa Church had an opportunity to develop the large Worship Center that had long been a vision of the ministry. The church contacted The McKnight Group in order to start the journey in fulfilling the need and preparing the church for the future. The addition would make would make room for the growing congregation while freeing up the current multi-use worship space for the thriving growing Christian school. The Worship Center was designed with the ability to expand seating when the need arises.
Highlights
The addition provides seating for 1,500 people and features a large, flexible platform with modern audio, video, and lighting technology. An office suite allows the staff to work closely together. The former church offices will be used by the school. A large, open foyer encourages people to spend time building relationships that are so important in the church. Preschool classrooms allow the youngest churchgoers to be close to the new Worship center. The indoor playland allows for young children to play and for the community to come in and be introduced to the church during the week.
Results
The new facility has allowed the church body to come together and worship in a way they could not before. The foyer is a hotspot of activity and conversations. The growing school is benefiting from the additional space they have in the existing building as The McKnight group builds their new building.

Case Study
“David and The McKnight Group were just what we needed, walking us through the whole project step by step. They were always available, going above and beyond many times. In fact, even before we finished this project, we hired them for another project.”
